Can you join us?

Earlier this year we were privileged to receive a three-year grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation to help spearhead our work into India, where the safe surgery crisis is acute.

We’ll be delivering Lifebox training and equipment in a number of states, but we’re no fans of ‘parachute development’. Our goal is to support a local faculty who can deliver our educational workshop as experts in their own communities.

So as part of a new collaboration with the British Association of Indian Anaesthetists (BAOIA) who’ll be helping us with our first workshop in Assam State this month, we’re looking for UK-based anaesthetists with links in India and an interest in training and supporting Lifebox work in the region.

If this sounds like you, or a friend, or a friend-of-a-friend, we’ve got just the event: a free one-day Lifebox train-the-trainers course in London, early December.

The programme includes a welcome video from our Chair Atul Gawande, an introduction to the AAGBI/WFSA SAFE course and how this links with Lifebox’s work, and an in-depth run-through of how to deliver a Lifebox workshop.

Faculty are highly experienced Lifebox volunteer trainers and we are applying to the RCOA for delegate CPD points.
