International Women’s Day #PledgeforParity
Champions and advocates around the world celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) every 8th March, and once again we’re thrilled to join in: continuing a Lifebox tradition of shining a spotlight on women at the frontline of global surgery and anaesthesia care around the world.
This year’s IWD theme ‘pledge for parity’ resonates deeply with us. We’ve worked closely with female safer surgery champions over the years – women who have worked to get to the top of their fields, and taken the bottom line with them. In honour of these women who have inspired us and brought our lifesaving work to countries around the world, we’re showcasing voices from some of the female led health care organisations that we admire throughout the week.
Join us as we celebrate the work and voices of Medical Federation for Women (MFW) and the Pan African Association of Women Surgeons (PAWAS).
