Lifebox is a winner!

Since you’re reading this online, you’re obviously a tech-savvy sort – so are we!  Lifebox has been recognised in the 2014 Nominet Trust 100: a list of the world’s most inspiring ventures that use digital technology as a tool for social change.

Projects featured on the list are using technology to tackle some of the world’s biggest social problems from education and human rights abuses to climate change and health.

Following a global call for nominations earlier this year by Nominet Trust, the UK’s leading tech for good funder, we’ve been selected by an independent steering committee in recognition of our work making surgery safer in countries where life-saving operations are more likely to be life-threatening.

We’re able to safeguard lives in some of the most challenging hospitals in the world thanks to our incredible network of champions and friends.   But it’s technology that allows us to reach them.  To support them.  To develop the world’s only pulse oximeter package for use in low-resource settings.  To send it to more than 8000 anaesthesia provides, across 90 countries worldwide.
