Lifebox receives prestigious RCOA Humphry Davy Medal
Lifebox is honoured to be named a 2013 recipient of the Humphry Davy Medal, awarded by the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCOA) in recognition of significant contribution to the College and to anaesthesia.
Two of our trustees, Dr Iain Wilson (Past President of the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI)) and Dr Isabeau Walker (Vice President of the AAGBI) joined the RCOA in London at their recent Jubilee Current Concepts Symposium.
RCOA President Dr J-P van Besouw made the formal presentation with big smiles and formal garb all round.
Pomp and circumstance is grand, but the impact of this medal is so much more: professional recognition that the global surgical safety crisis is an urgent matter for concern, and public determination that we continue working together to address it.
All of us at Lifebox send our thanks to the RCOA for this acknowledgement, and look forward to continued efforts advancing anaesthesia safety worldwide!
